At Elite Visagiste, we strive to provide exceptional makeup and beauty services. We understand that circumstances may arise that necessitate cancellations or requests for refunds. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures for handling such situations fairly and transparently. By booking our services or purchasing our products, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Service Refund Policy

1.1 Booking Deposits

For many of our services, particularly weddings, special events, and group bookings, we require a non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment. These deposits are structured as follows:

  • Standard appointments: 30% of the total service cost
  • Wedding services: 50% of the total service cost
  • Group bookings (4+ people): 40% of the total service cost

Deposits are generally non-refundable as they secure your spot in our schedule, during which time we may decline other bookings. However, they may be transferable to another date subject to the conditions outlined below.

1.2 Cancellation Timeframes and Refund Eligibility

1.3 Service Dissatisfaction

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely satisfied with the services provided, please:

  1. Inform your makeup artist immediately during or immediately after the service
  2. Allow us the opportunity to address and rectify any issues on the spot
  3. If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, contact our customer service team within 24 hours of the service

After reviewing your concerns, we may offer one of the following remedies at our discretion:

  • Touch-up appointment at no additional cost
  • Partial refund based on the nature of the dissatisfaction
  • Credit toward a future service
  • Full refund in cases where we determine our service fell significantly short of our standards

1.4 Extenuating Circumstances

We understand that emergencies and unavoidable situations occur. In cases of serious illness, injury, bereavement, or other significant extenuating circumstances, we may make exceptions to our standard refund policy. Such exceptions are made at our discretion and may require documentation.

2. Product Refund Policy

2.1 Unopened Products

For unopened retail products purchased directly from Elite Visagiste:

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase with original receipt
  • Products must be in their original, sealed packaging
  • A full refund will be issued to the original payment method

2.2 Opened or Used Products

Due to health and hygiene concerns, we generally cannot accept returns of opened or used makeup and skincare products. However:

  • If you experience an allergic reaction to a product, please contact us within 3 days of purchase
  • With proper documentation (such as a doctor's note), we may offer a store credit or exchange
  • Products that are defective in their manufacture will be replaced or refunded with proof of purchase

2.3 Gift Cards

Gift cards and gift certificates:

  • Cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Cannot be returned or refunded once purchased
  • Are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
  • May be transferred to another person

3. Refund Processing Timeframes

3.1 Review Period

All refund requests are subject to review, which typically takes 1-3 business days from the time we receive your request.

3.2 Payment Processing Times

Once a refund is approved, the time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card Payments: 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer
  • Bank Transfers: 3-5 business days
  • In-store Cash Refunds: Immediate (for in-person purchases only)

Please note that we can only refund to the original payment method used for the purchase.

5. Exceptions to Refund Policy

5.1 Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following items and services are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Special order or custom-blended products
  • Digital products, tutorials, or online courses once access has been granted
  • Services that have been fully completed and approved by the client during the appointment
  • Late arrivals resulting in abbreviated service time
  • No-shows for scheduled appointments

5.2 Service Cancellation by Elite Visagiste

In the rare event that we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (artist illness, emergency, etc.):

  • We will offer to reschedule your appointment at your earliest convenience
  • If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund of all payments made
  • For wedding bookings, we will make every effort to secure a replacement artist of similar skill level

5.3 Force Majeure

In cases of events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, governmental actions, pandemics, etc.), our standard cancellation policy may be modified. We will work with affected clients on a case-by-case basis to find reasonable solutions.

Any changes to this policy will not apply retroactively to services booked or products purchased prior to the policy change. The refund terms in effect at the time of your booking or purchase will apply.
